MASHA EGIEVA

masha egieva is a film writer, director, and producer from moscow, russia. In 2020, masha completed her first short film as a writer-director, comedy-drama “all souls day” (2020), co-funded by the oxford university filmmaking foundation and wolfson college, oxford. her second short film as a writer-director “saint vassily” is developed with script compass and executive-produced by crystal bear-winning and bafta-nominated producer byron mcnally

with reformation films, masha produced “olive” (2023), winner of genera films grant, spotlighting older female desire and sexuality and starring the icon of british tv of the 1960s virginia stride. passionate about female-led stories, masha went on to produce “malkin” (2023), starring writer-comedian rachel harper. both films are currently in post-production.

prior to embarking on a career as a filmmaker, masha was a programme coordinator at kino klassika foundation and content editor at an award-winning digital agency little dot studios, working with high profile brands including mgm, studiocanal, discovery, and bafta.

masha holds an undergraduate degree in art history from ucl and a masters in film aesthetics from the university of oxford.

raphaël duhamel is a screenwriter and producer from paris, france. raphaël works as development assistant for object studios and staff writer at Akta Photography, having gained experience in production at iconoclast uk, revolution films, and bk Studios.

he produced masha egieva’s first short film as a writer-director “all souls day” (2020), which was selected for the independent shorts awards (usa), munich new wave short ff, tokyo short ff and the rome short ff, amongst others.

raphaël is developing his first short film as a writer-director as well as a series project with bfi-backed director joseph simmons. as a screenwriter, his psychological thriller feature script “oikos” was a quarterfinalist of the 2022 raindance script competition. he enjoys dark, offbeat stories with strong political undertones, focusing on previously unheard perspectives.

raphaël holds an undergraduate degree in comparative literature from ucl and a masters in film aesthetics from the university of oxford, as well as a masters in screenwriting from the london college of communication at the university of the arts london.
